Maiden Brewery makes beer and cider in five-gallon batches, generally for friends and family. However, we hope it's a stepping stone to introducing our brand and beginning to grow our name in the burgeoning micro-segment.
Where the air thins, the rules blur, and mystery drifts just beneath the cloudline.
Brewed to commemorate Beneath the Cloudline, my first novel. This Session IPA is a study in balance—between sky and soil, restraint and indulgence, tradition and rebellion.
Bridging the gap between a classic American Pale Ale and a West Coast IPA, Beneath the Cloudline IPA is deliberately suspended in the in-between. It unites the grounded reliability of Cascade and Centennial with the bright, untethered tropical charge of Citra hop: a quiet collision of old rigging and open sky.
The result is a rush of ripe citrus and soft tropical fruit that blooms quickly, then lingers like mist after rain. Aromatics rise first... grapefruit, lime, a hint of mango, before settling into an unexpectedly smooth malt backbone. Light enough to drink in long stretches. Bold enough to be remembered.
This is a beer meant to be shared below the towers, passed along scaffolds, or enjoyed while looking up. Sessionable without compromise. Flavor-forward without excess. No restraint required. Just balance.
